1. Who we are

The Busy Professionals Crypto Program (the “Program”) is operated by EMC Dental Inc., a Nova Scotia, Canada company (“we,” “us,” “our”), and taught by Dr. Daniel Daniel. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we protect it.

The Program is built for professionals who prefer to keep their finances private. We collect as little as we need, and we never sell it.

2. What we collect

  • Your application: your name, email address, phone number, which option you chose (group or one-to-one), the days and times you are available, whether you would like a call first, and your confirmation that you understand the Program is Education, not investment advice.
  • Your payment: handled by Stripe. Stripe tells us your name, email, the amount, and whether the payment went through. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Program participation: your name or display name on Zoom, your Discord username, attendance at live sessions, and what you post in the Program’s Discord.
  • Recordings: every session is recorded, which includes your voice, your name or display name, and your video if your camera is on.
  • Emails and calls: the messages you send us, and the time of any call you book.
  • Website visits: basic, anonymous traffic data, such as which pages are visited. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.

3. What we never ask for

We will never ask for your exchange password, your two-factor codes, your recovery phrase, access to any of your accounts, your bank account details, or a government ID number. Treat any such request as a scam, even if it appears to come from us.

4. How we use your information

  • To review your application and reply to you.
  • To schedule your cohort, sessions, and any call you ask for.
  • To take payment and send you receipts.
  • To deliver the Program: Zoom links, Discord access, recordings, and support.
  • To contact you about your enrollment.
  • To meet our legal, tax, and accounting duties, and to respond to payment disputes.

We do not sell or rent your information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask to join.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers we need to run the Program, and only what each one needs:

  • Stripe: payments.
  • Vercel: website hosting and anonymous website analytics.
  • Formspree: the application form.
  • Microsoft 365: email.
  • Zoom: live sessions and recordings.
  • Discord: the private client community.
  • Our scheduling tool: booking calls.
  • YouTube: the answer videos on our Questions page. A video only loads, and YouTube only receives information, when you click to play it.

Each provider handles information under its own privacy policy. Some of them store information outside Canada, usually in the United States. By applying or enrolling, you understand that your information may be processed there.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim, such as responding to a payment dispute.

6. Who sees what inside the Program

Recordings and Discord posts are visible to the clients in your cohort and to Program staff. Other clients see your name or display name, anything you say in sessions, and anything you post in Discord. You may keep your camera off and choose what you share. Clients agree in our Terms to keep what others share private.

In the one-to-one program, recordings are shared only with you.

7. How long we keep it

  • Applications that do not lead to enrollment: deleted within 12 months, or sooner if you ask.
  • Enrollment and payment records: kept for seven years from the end of the year they relate to, to meet Canadian tax and record-keeping rules, then deleted.
  • Recordings: kept for as long as your cohort’s Discord is active.
  • Discord messages: kept according to Discord’s own rules. You can delete your own messages or leave the Discord at any time.

8. How we protect it

Your information is kept in password-protected accounts with two-factor authentication, and access is limited to Program staff. We follow the same safety habits we teach.

9. Your rights

You may ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to the records we are legally required to keep. You may also withdraw your consent to anything that is not needed to deliver the Program. These rights apply under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), and, where they apply to you, the privacy laws of your US state or other place of residence.

To make a request, email daniel@drdanieldaniel.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact your privacy regulator. In Canada, that is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

10. Age

The Program is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we will delete it if we find out.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date at the top. If we make an important change, we will email current clients.
